The PROTECT IP Act aims to counter the illegal online sale of counterfeit goods by, among other things, narrowing the definition of a rogue website dedicated to the sale of infringing or counterfeit goods, and giving law enforcement additional tools for going after those who engage in selling or distributing counterfeit goods online in the United States. S. 968 is pending further action by the U.S. Senate. If a similar bill is introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives, of which I am a member, rest assured that I will keep your views in mind.
